ORIGEM DA BLACK MUSIC
Um pouco sobre a Black Music ..Nos anos 60 a música negra tornou-se conhecida quando os cantos religiosos Gospel começaram a ser divulgadas nas rádios, passando a ser conhecidas como Soul (alma). Com o seu desenvolvimento alguns cantores começaram a se destacar como Cheryl Lynn, One Way, Anita Becker e o famoso James Brown. Este, com seu estilo único de tocar guitarra, acelerou o ritmo do Soul, surgindo o Soul ritmado mais conhecido como Funk Soul.Das rádios, o Funk foi para os bailes e assim começaram a ser desenvolver as danças, em suas várias versões. Dos anos 70 até hoje, a Black Music sofreu algumas evoluções enquanto ritmo e também enquanto dança. A Black Music contém muitas variações, mas só alguns marcaram realmente época em sua história: Funk Soul: Retrata bem a década de 70, o som psicodélico de James Brown de origem a uma dança com estilo incomparável de deslizar os pés no chão com muita ginga e agilidade. Flash Back Os anos 80 ficaram conhecidos como a época do passo marcado. Após os sucessos dos Jackson Five, nos bailes dançavam-se pequenas coreografias criadas pela alegria e empolgação do momento. Charm A melodia rítmica de Érika Badu, R.Kelly e Black Street,ficou conhecida como Charm que originou o Floreado ou a famosa "lenta" quando dançada a dois em meados dos anos 80. R&B A mistura do Charm com o ritmo contagiante do rap norte americano dos anos 90 fez com que Usher, Snoop Doog, Beyoncé, Nelly e outros lançassem um ritmo envolvente que, quando dançado, revela-se toda arte e magia de dançar a dois com um contato visual bastante rico e cheio de alegria.
